Security Research Scanner

This host (scanner.syncinity.com, 178.17.240.71) performs internet-wide security research scanning. If you see connection attempts from this address, they come from this project.

What we do

We send TCP SYN probes to a small set of common ports across the public IPv4 space and record which ports respond. We do not attempt to log in, guess credentials, exploit vulnerabilities, or modify anything. The scan rate is capped at a low packets-per-second ceiling.

Opt out

To be excluded permanently, email abuse@syncinity.com with the IP address or CIDR range you control. Exclusions are applied within 24 hours, take effect before the next probe is sent to your range, and are confirmed by reply.

Data and privacy

Collected data consists of IP addresses, open ports, service banners and coarse geolocation derived from the IP address. Scan history is kept for a limited period. To request deletion of data about your network, use the contact address above.
